Kuala Lumpur: Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yang juga Menteri Kewangan membentangkan Belanjawan 2025 bertemakan 'Ekonomi Madani, Negara Makmur, Rakyat Sejahtera', di Parlimen hari ini.
THE government will intensify efforts to strengthen Malaysia’s halal industry by enhancing collaboration between Jabatan Kemajuan Islam (Jakim), Halal Development Corp (HDC) and Malaysia External Trade Development Corp (Matrade).
According to MATRADE, Malaysia’s halal industry is expected to reach a market size of US$113.2 billion by 20230.
In line with that, the MADANI government is allocating part of the RM421 billion Budget 2025 to growing the halal sector.
In Budget 2025, the government announced RM40 billion in financing and business guarantees to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and support economic growth. Recognising that 90% of the economy relies on MSMEs, the focus will be on key areas such as food security, energy transition, and digitalisation.
JURUADUIT halal Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM) akan ditambah seramai 100 orang lagi.
Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim berkata, inisiatif itu adalah satu daripada langkah untuk mempercepat urusan pengeluaran sijil halal.
